These cars were manufactured to compete in the World Rally Championship (WRC) and National Championships by the factory and by private clients. Usually in Group A and Group N. Fortunately, the homologation rules required a certain number of vehicles to be built for the street. This homologation rule leads to the production of some very interesting cars that are able to be licensed and registered for road use in some countries.
